What is it?

The rationale is the development of the new SR-007MK2 Earspeaker was to provide deep powerful sound previously unobtainable in Earspeakers. STAX engineers developed a unique new electrode structure. Visible through the outer case, gold plated on the outer edge this new electrode has no holes unlike conventional STAX Earspeakers and thus provides an increases diaphragm vibration area allowing for rich and powerful sound yet retaining all the delicacy STAX is famous for.

The innovative SR-007MK2 is, like all other STAX headphones, an ultra-high fidelity device due to its electrostatic technology. However, unlike other STAX Earspeakers, it features a different design for its deep powerful sound and is hence, an Earspeaker like no other.

The unique electrode structure has a gold-plated outer edge. Unlike other Earspeakers, these electrodes do not have any holes, causing the diaphragm to vibrate more. This not only gives you a rich powerful sound but also lets you experience the delicate details in your music.

RIGID METAL HOUSING: To maintain clear distortion free sound it is most important that nothing other than the diaphragm should vibrate. Within the STAX SR-007MK2 the sound element is encased in a thick insulated resin case firmly fixed to the rigid body. The results are nothing short of spectacular.

FULLY ADJUSTABLE EARPADS: Utmost comfort for maximum enjoyment of your STAX SR-007MK2 is provided with earpads that are fully adjustable to the shape of your head that are made of genuine sheep skin.

The SR-007MK2 is made for long listening sessions. The soft lambskin earpads are adjustable so that they fit your head perfectly. For a great sound, the SR-007MK2 uses a Pure Crystal Ohno Continuous Casting (PC-OCC) cable. This 2.5m (8.2 feet) cable has a low capacity and wide format which ensures that you only get high-quality audio when you plug it in.
