Built with an aluminum frame and tailored electrical components, the NW-WM1A Walkman® is designed for high quality, powerful sound. An aluminum alloy frame provides a highly rigid case that’s resistive to electrical noise and other interference for stable, high-quality sound. The play/pause, music selection and volume buttons on the side panel are shaped and positioned for easy operation.

Enjoy the subtlest nuances of studio-quality sound in higher than CD quality with High-Resolution Audio. The NW-WM1A Walkman® also supports the very latest 384 kHz/32-bit rate and DSD Native Playback.

How does it work?

The NW-WM1A supports native DSD audio files, which are sourced early in the production process. This means they retain all the authentic detail of the original recording. The new S-Master™ HX digital amp technology, independently developed for Walkman®, cuts distortion and noise across a wide range of frequencies for rich, full bodied sound. DSEE HX upscaling technology uses an algorithm to analyze your music and replace any lost information, so that the quality is almost high-resolution level. Choose from 5 modes to bring out the best in your music.

The newly developed FT CAP (high polymer capacitor) works to regulate power flow, optimizing it for instant, clean power when needed.  A low-resistance oxygen-free copper cable offers low distortion and superior channel separation. Reduce noise and minimize distortion in the audio signal path with MELF type resistors.
