Introducing the HE-560, a premium quality, full-size planar magnetic headphone
designed for reference use in the home or studio. HE-560 is 30% lighter than
comparable headphones allowing the listener to comfortably enjoy music for
hours on end. In addition, a newly-designed headband and beveled ear pads
provide remarkable comfort as well as improved sound quality. Using single-
ended drivers, HE-560 delivers a lifelike soundstage and spatial imaging that
HIFIMAN is known for. Its increased efficiency allows it to be driven with a
modest size amplifier. To capture every bit of detail, a premium cable
comprised of Crystalline copper and crystalline silver is standard. HE-560
features real wood ear cups for a rich, classic look.

As you might expect from a headphone that is part of a manufacturer’s
"reference" lineup, the HE-560’s sonic character attempts to be as neutral and
natural as the technology permits. As with most large-diaphragm planar
designs, the HE-560 produces a large soundstage that seems to extend outside
of the user’s headspace.

It is a good-looking headphone, finished in a dark wood grain with flat black
accents. The headband uses a suspended design with a metal outer band, and the
forks are plastic. The dual-sided cable is detachable and utilizes coaxial
