What is it?

The first SR-Lambda series was introduced 36 years ago and it has further
developed into a new-generation SR-Lambda with its newly designed enclosure –
the new SR-L300 advanced Lambda series Earspeaker. The innovative SR-L300 is,
like all the others in Stax’s Lambra series, an ultra-high fidelity device due
to its electrostatic technology. It produces a sound that would only be
comparable to other loudspeakers (& not headphones). Hence, it is only fair
that this headset be called an Earspeaker.

Electrostatic designed have been pioneered by Stax and they are clearly at the
top of the game. The electrostatic headphones operate on a an unconventional
level unlike other headphones that feature dynamic and moving coil designs. In
most headphones, the drivers are heavier, making it difficult to recreate
detail in playback due to mass.

Keeping in line with its predecessors, the SR-L300 has top notch sound
quality. Stainless photo etched electrodes are fixed securely for a clear
transparent audio. The headphone gives a balanced sound with delicate highs,
soothing mids and a deep bass.

To keep the quality of music from deteriorating, the Stax SR-L300 uses an
Oxygen Free Copper (OFC). This cable uses a wide flat structure to reduce the
capacitance between wires and to drive it effectively so that your music
always sounds its best.

The SR-L300 is made for comfortable listening. The stepless slider mechanism,
lets you adjust the soft headpad for a better fit. This avoids fatigue and
enables you to entirely immerse yourself in the music.
